JAMES ARTHUR

Hey Guys - Welcome Back!

So back in January of this year I took my girlfriend - now fiancé! to see James Arthur.

For those of you who are thinking right now "who the f*ck is James Arthur?"

Well... he was the winner of the ninth series of the X Factor 2012, he was mentored by Nicole Scherzinger - who I am a big fan of I must admit. He covered Impossible by Shontelle and the cover went on to sell 2.5 million copies worldwide. I'm sure if you were to search him on Google you would be able to find more about him.

Anyway...

I wasn't sure about going at first because I, Myself wasn't a big fan. I mean I think he has a great voice and he can definitely sing but I just thought he wouldn't have been my first choice but I persevered and went along for the sake of my fiancé. So he was playing at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh and was supported by another British artist called Tish - I may do a blog entry on her if anyone is interested? (Just comment down below if you do!)

By the end of his show, my thoughts were that I really enjoyed it! I had a great time and he was a great guy when he was chatting away to the crowd. His set list was great he performed songs from his Self-Titled Album "James Arthur" which to name a few were:

  • Impossible
  • You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You
  • Suicide
  • Recovery
  • Roses ft. Emeli Sandé (who wasn't present - sadly)

He sang more songs from his album and a few covers that the crowd loved. I felt that, as it was a smaller venue compared to places such as The SSE HYDRO or WEMBLEY ARENA that it was more intimate and the atmosphere was - to put it simply - "buzzing". He made the effort to talk to the crowd and it wasn't just song after song and then away. He engaged with the crowd and that's whats great about artists when they do things like that. It did surprise me when he came across polite and friendly as what was shown in the media and how he was behaving on twitter, you wouldn't believe that was the guy when you were watching him on stage.

Here is a few videos of James, sorry they aren't long but it gives you guys a good idea of what sort direction his music is and what he sounds like live!

So overall, I think his concert was good and was surprised as what I read in the news wasn't what I saw on stage. Hopefully he sorts himself out and releases more material soon.

Ending the blog here guys, if you like James Arthur or you've just came across him then let me know in the comments. Also want to know what music you guys listen to or who you enjoy! I will be uploading another blog soon which I hope you will enjoy!

Peace x

Any professional photos I show on any of my posts I do not own.

WELCOME!

Thanks for stumbling onto my blog! Here is where you'll find different genres of music that I enjoy and what I listen to every single day! The reason why I am doing this is because I want to share my love for music with all of you!

I have a few things planned soon that you might like so keep tuned on my blog space to find out!

You'll see me attending a few concerts/gigs, so I will be posting videos up of that and I will be telling you all about it but, you will have to wait until I post it up to see who it is! I will be going to see A-list singers/bands/groups and also local gigs of aspiring artists - so it will be good to upload a mixture.

In the meantime, keep checking back for new posts and hopefully you guys will enjoy what I will be doing!

Peace x
